Wonderful meal at the restaurant with charming efficient staff. They went out of their way to help, willingly.
Bathroom floor need redoing - dirty around edges. No internet ability in room (did get WiFi free in lobby but that is a nuisance) It was a long ride in to the hotel on narrow, twisting roads. Better sign posting would assist when you do not know the location before hand.

Bedroom overlooked the Celtic Sea which was lovely. Duvets on the beds however they were holes in the cover. Bar lunches were very nice.
Bedrooms were old and in need of refurbishment. Shower over bath had shower curtain, okay and not great water pressure. Stayed 3 nights and every morning before 10am we had housekeeping knocking the bedroom door and if we didn't get to them on time they came into the room and didn't call out that they were housekeeping. They would need to get signs for guests to use 'Please do not disturb' or 'Room free for housekeeping'! The leisure facilities were fine however in bad need of a good scrub (cleaning or power hosing). There was lots of lime scale in the female changing showers and rooms. There was no curtain on the showers too so people felt awkward showering. This hotel needs modernised!

Got huge, spotless room with great view. An electric kettle, an iron/ironing board and television were available here too. The location for Dungarvan was nice and perfect, next to the restaurant, leisure centre and golf course. It also was near the sea.

The location of the hotel was good, the view from our room was great. The staff were friendly especially the night porter, he gave us lots of info on touring and sightseeing around the area. We didnt eat at the hotel but the food looked nice. It would be a great place to go for families as there is lots of holiday homes on the hotel's grounds. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it for families!
The hotel is quite dated, the lobby and bar need a bit of decorating. Its a great location however we had to get a taxi into the town.

The staff couldn't have been nicer. Very pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking. Easy to find hotel.
I understand now the previous comments saying that the hotel is very old fashioned and I thought that it wouldn't boder me but the hotel really could do with an revamp. After getting in from pub at 3.30 in the morning, there was no secruity at the door nor was there anyone in reception. Called reception on the phone for 20 minutes and was calling receptionist and no answer, so eventaully I just helped myself to my own key, which is very worrying that anyone could have helped themselves.

The hotel had a secluded location right next to a golf course. It was close enough to the pub downstairs, town center, and restaurants. - It was bright, huge, and right on the water.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Gold Coast Golf Resort. The hotel was in a great location, although it is a dangerous walk with a buggy up to main road. The room was clean and comfortable and the swimming and changing areas were well looked after.
